The recent release of Grade 4 and Grade 8 math and reading assessments results from the 2022 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) triggered many articles across the U.S. Most of the articles placed some of the blame for the decline in math and reading scores to the cancellation of in person classes due to the pandemic.
