Almost everyone in the country buys and wears them for Remembrance day in November. Here's a picture from my visit to Manchester last November - note the <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/stripedtiger/1967582536/in/set-72157603087988015/" rel="nofollow">Poppy wreaths</a>. The poppy program is exceptionally strong in the UK. Almost everyone in the country buys and wears them for Remembrance day in November.
